YB loses after goal in stoppage time
Dramatic 2-2 draw thanks to a lucky goal - Lugano equalizes shortly before the end

YB remains winless in the new football season. After the 1:2 opening defeat against FC Zurich, the team drew 2:2 (0:1) at FC Lugano on Sunday afternoon. The Bernese were twice behind, twice they fought back - but in the end, they had to settle for one point.
The start of the game was balanced, both teams had their chances. YB had more possession of the ball, but Lugano was the more dangerous team. In the 23rd minute, Celar broke through on the right and crossed the ball into the middle, where Custodio was on hand to tap in and give Lugano the lead.
YB tried to respond, but the team lacked ideas in the final third. The best chance before the break fell to Elia, but his shot was saved by Brkic. After the restart, YB came out with more determination. In the 52nd minute, Nsame equalized with a header after a cross from Ngamaleu.
YB was now in control of the game and had several chances to take the lead. In the 63rd minute, Elia hit the crossbar, and in the 70th minute, Ngamaleu's shot was saved by Brkic. Lugano was now under pressure and hardly had any chances to score. In the 89th minute, however, Celar equalized with a deflected shot from the edge of the area.
YB was shocked and tried to score again in the remaining minutes. In the 94th minute, Elia had the chance to win the game, but his shot was saved by Brkic. In the end, YB had to settle for one point. The team remains winless in the new season and is now under pressure before the next game against FC Sion.
